Lilium is a sans-serif font inspired by the delicate and elegant beauty of lily flowers. The flower itself represents femininity, love, purity, and grief. The different symbolism associated with the flower makes Lilium a typeface that can represent deep emotions.
Dr. Dain L. Tasker served as the chief radiologist at Wilshire Hospital in Los Angeles during the early stages of radiology exploration. In the 1930s, Tasker merged his career with his passion for photography, applying his knowledge of the X-ray image process to recording flowers. These images served as the main source of inspiration for Lilium.
The lowercase set features three variations, each one of them representing the different blooming stages of lily flowers: pre-bloom, partial bloom, and full bloom.
